Our Family Story Times are going virtual this summer on the ALPL YouTube channel  Each week, join a different member of our staff to hear a couple of stories. New videos will be posted Tuesday morning at 11am and will be available online throughout the week.

DIY Storytime Bags

Each bag includes great picture books to read aloud, music options, extension activities, and craft ideas that you can do at home. Themes include Wild Animals, Kindness Counts, Pets on Parade, and more.  Request a bag here or call the Children’s Desk at 440-933-8917.

Family Read Aloud Kits

Each kit includes one of our favorite chapter book read-alouds as well as a reading & activity guide to help make the book more fun and meaningful.  Request a title here or by calling the Children’s Desk at 440-933-8917.

Book Bundles

Each bundle includes 5-10 books for beginning or chapter book readers based on some of our favorite themes--like Potty Humor Classics, Mo Willems All Day, Fairy Friends, and more.. Request a themed bundle here or by calling the Children’s Desk at 440-933-8917.

Beginning Crafters

Toddlers and Preschoolers Ages 2-4

Pick up a bag with supplies needed to make some of our favorite family story time crafts at home. These crafts may require you to provide general supplies like glue, tape, or markers.

Bags will be available each Monday at 11am starting June 29 and continuing July 6, July 13, July 20, July 27, and August 3.

Early Elementary Kids Ages 5-8

Perfect for crafters that want to do things mostly on their own. These crafts may require you to provide general supplies like glue, tape, or markers.

Wee Science Sampler-Dinosaurs

Dinosaur bags will be available starting Thursday, August 6 at 10 am. One per child, while supplies last.

Learn all about these ancient reptiles! Use our curbside service to pick up materials for dinosaur themed hands-on science and art activities you can do at home.

The activities are designed for children ages 3-5, aided by an adult. You may need to provide general supplies like glue, tape and scissors.
